Here's some quick sketches of black headed gulls on the Kingsbridge estuary.
I try to go out and sketch during my lunch hour at least twice a week, but it's been a while with it being sooooo coooold! I often sketch the gulls, they can be really comical ...

These are lovely- I especially like the gull in flight, you've captured it perfectly and in such a wonderful position.

I must admit I also rely on my digi camera too much - I have to force myself to get the sketch pad and pencil out! It's quicker when you're with someone else who doesn't understand stopping to capture things with paper and pencil.
I find the sketching really relaxing though, especially when it goes well ;)
