hares galore

Don't ask why - because I don't think you'd get a sensible answer - but I have developed a sort of fascination with hares ...

When we were on holiday in Yorkshire in March we saw a few, but never close enough to photograph. I did take this one photograph, but the hare was so far away ...

Since then I've been sketching and doodeling hares ...

These are great Gail! I especially love the bottom one with the grassy nimbus. Just wonderful, you can find some really magical stuff when you're exploring like this.

Hi Gail - I've arrived here via Rima's blog! Lovely sketches of hares. I find them fascinating too, they seem to have a magical quality don't they? I haven't (as yet) ever drawn any though. :)

I love these hares, Gail. I saw one once driving along in France but we'd passed before I could get my camera out. It was a sort of 'blink, is that really what I'm seeing?' sort of moment.
