wistman's wood

On Sunday we went up onto Dartmoor and walked the 2 miles from Two Bridges to Wistman's Wood, an ancient oak woodland - it was a magical place, one I want to visit again. Here's some pics from our walk there and the woods themselves ...

I love the colours in the photo second from top, the pale silvery greens and mauves are beautiful, especially with the little red berries too.

Thanks Penny - it was a lovely walk, I find Dartmoor visually stunning, especially the way the colours change with the differing light ....
