plymouth calligraphers

On Saturday I went to the monthly meeting of Plymouth Calligraphers. It was an interesting meeting about the use of Botanical Illustration in calligraphy, we had 2 members talking about what they've learnt over the past 2 to 3 years. This is an area I'm really interested in so I found it particularly interesting.
I also had a chat with Celia Lister, a calligrapher who I really admire, she's just had a web site built, so I've added that to my links opposite>

I've tried commenting on your blog before - I guess it got eaten...

I love calligraphy meetings. I don't do enough of them in recent years. I have some pending projects (when I get some time... *sigh*) that revolve around herbs and handlettering - so I've been looking at botanical illustration as well...

I hope you get some time to work on your website - and post some of this stuff! Or on your blog if not...

Wow- I'd love to learn calligraphy but I don't think I have got the patience to practice enough to get anywhere.

I do love fabulous text with pictures though, it often adds something extra.

(ps. I've commented a few times but they never seem to appear. I wonder if there is a problem with blogger?)

Oops! I'd set comment preview up and then I forgot that I had to go in and check for comments - hide behind my chair in shame - sorry guys ;)
