autumn days

It was a lovely Autumn day on Saturday and it inspired me to do somesketching (along with some friendly "pushing" for friends). Here's one of the results . . .

Yum - very nice piece of drawing. What media is this?

yes indeedy, it is beautiful. Love the directional pencil strokes and the warm brown colour.

Well actually it was done in watersoluable pencil, so it wasn't that colour originally. I used filters to change the colour when I scanned the original in Photoshop, I felt it gave a red chalk feel . . .

Thanks for the feedback guys, just what I need. Bad day, especially seen as it's my birthday and I'm stuck at work . . . :(

Oh the wonders of Photoshop! Happy birthday- as much as it could be, when 'celebrating' it at work...

Yes, a very happy birthday Gail. :o)

Are you coming along to the AOI meet up on Monday? It's lots of fun! (well maybe not LOTS of fun, but definitely some fun) ;o)

oooops, just noticed that you live quite far away from Londinium- further than the tube reaches anyway.

We'll have a drink for you. :o)

Hi Gail!
Beautiful drawing...You must love drawing from nature a lot.You can tell by just looking at all the detail in it!
Would love to see more!

I'm working on more Maya, it's just fitting all this in around a full time job, but I'm hoping to build this blog alongside my web site.
Thanks for the kind words.
